We started as an education company; we grew from there.

Sunrise started with a simple mission to expand experiential education to Chinese students. Focusing on the lack of extracurricular options, Sunrise established two of the largest competitive academic leagues in China: The National High School Debate League of China (NHSDLC) and The Chinese Youth Business League (CYBL).

We also offer Horizon Academic, a research program with a competitive admissions process where selected high school students create a research project under the tutelage of professors from top US colleges and universities.

The National High School Debate League of China (NHSDLC)

The National High School Debate League of China (NHSDLC) is the largest foreign language debate league in the world. It is dedicated to promoting critical thinking, creativity, self-expression, and awareness of key social and political issues in Mainland China by hosting debate competitions and trainings across the country.

The NHSDLC organizes over 75 tournaments across different Chinese provinces, with an effort to reach out to areas that traditionally have not had much international exposure.  Moreover, more than 15,000 students compete in NHSDLC tournaments annually. These tournaments can vary in size from around 150 students in smaller provinces, to over 300 students in larger provinces.

China Organization For Developing Engineers

The China Organization for Developing Engineers (CODE) is a national league for robotics and computer science in China. We believe that interscholastic competition in the S.T.E.M. fields is an activity that provides students an outlet to explore their interests and talents in building technology for the future. Our leagues allows students to work together on projects that requires developing their hands on abilities while also mastering the technical elements of engineering professions. We offer training toolkits for teachers and training camps for students wishing to advance their skills.
